Chef Hoffman & Service Staff
Your menu, venue, the number of guests, and style of the event will determine how many servers, supervisors, bartenders or kitchen staff will be needed. Most events will not require any. That will be determined by the intricacy of your menu and number of guests. Chef Hoffman & the Abenteure professional, personable staff (if needed) will attend your event. Service staff is billed based on the type of service required. Chef Hoffman attends every event and will be your Chef.
Event Porter ($20 per hour) Responsible for setting up rentals, buffet area or kitchen space for onsite assembly servers during food service. Cleans up after guests during events.
Buffet Attendant ($25per hour) Responsible for setting up rentals, buffet area or kitchen space for onsite assembly, monitor food service to keep buffet menu items replenished and clean. Additionally can answer questions regarding allergy and dietary restrictions.
Passed or Plated Server ($28 per hour)Responsible for setting up rentals, buffet area or kitchen space for onsite assembly, monitor food service to keep buffet menu items replenished and clean. Additionally can answer questions regarding allergy and dietary restrictions.
Chef Assistant($30 per hour) Responsible for preparation and menu item creation either solo or with on-site Chef present.
Chef on Site Plated/Passed Menus ($60 per hour)Responsible for preparation and menu item creation
Personal Chef Service- Chef Hoffman bills for time into the entire bill *Gratuity not included
Bartenders($30 per hour)

Depending on the event, if excessive cleaning is required when Chef Hoffman arrives, an additional fee may be billed. (Additional cleaning before the commencement of your event may change food service time.
Chef Hoffman always does everything to make things smooth as possible.
If menu items need to be grilled- please be sure BBQ is clean, accessible, and has fuel.
During winter months, please be sure there is a path clear of snow for safety purposes and easy access to cooking area. Please be sure to include a parking spot for Chef Hoffman (parking on the street in most neighborhoods is not allowed.)
Travel & delivery fees vary depending on the location of your event
Providing additional gratuities to Chef Hoffman (and professional staff) is certainly encouraged and graciously received, but is not required.
Chef & Sommelier Hoffman's sommelier service is available free of charge. Includes creation of beverage pairings based on your menu, pick up and deliver, and then simply add the receipt to the final invoice. Chef Hoffman also offers custom self -service beverage dispensers and a premium selection of tea, coffee, fun garnishes and non-alcoholic beverage services. They are great additions to any event!
Rentals + Decorations
Abenteure is prepared to take care of any rentals you may need. Abenteure is able to provide anything your event demands such as plates, flatware, glasses, linens, tables, and chairs etc. (Delivery charges apply) We can also coordinate flowers, wedding cakes, photography, entertainment etc. for a 10% coordinating fee of total services.
Deposit + Payment
All events must be booked no later than 48 Hours prior to commencement. A deposit of 50% of the total amount quoted in the proposal is required to confirm the booking of your event. Deposit refunds on cancellations are processed as follows:
Notice over 45 days prior to the event 50% refund of deposit
Notice 10 to 44 days prior to the event 10% refund of deposit
Notice less than 10 days prior to the event no refund of deposit
Clients must meet a food and beverage minimum of $750.00 for staffed events. Clients will be billed for the final balance due 72 hours prior to their event. Complete payment must be posted by day of the event with either: cash, cashier’s check or money order. A 7.25% or 8.1% (depending on California or Nevada) state sales tax applies to all events. A credit card surcharge of 3% may apply.
Severe weather conditions: We never miss a date.
Food, beverage, and add-on item charges will be based on the guest count. Final guest counts are due no later than 7 days prior to the event date. If a final guest count is not reported, Abenteure will use the number on the proposal provided. We will make every effort to accommodate any last minute increases in the guest count.
Food Amounts & Dietary Requests
Chef Hoffman will provide a set amount of food based on the guest count given by the client. Chef Hoffman is not responsible for your guests over consumption. Please Note: If you are at all worried that some guests may consume more than the average person, we suggest you order more food.
Children: Please be advised Chef Hoffman is cooking with fire, hot water, knives etc. Please be courteous and keep children out of the kitchen. If you would like to have your children learn to cook please advise Chef Hoffman beforehand so he can make timing arrangements. Additional charges may apply. If children need a special meal, please advise Chef Hoffman beforehand due to stove and oven space. He will make as many accommodations as she can to create a smooth event.
Additional Meals: Chef Hoffman understands different lifestyles concerning food. If you or any of your guests need a separate meal, please be advised she will do her best to accommodate due to timing and space. Chef Hoffman will make every effort to make every guest feel welcome and fed. Additional charges will apply due to separate ingredient costs.
Chef Hoffman is committed to giving you exceptional customer service. However, because proposals are time-consuming, Abenteure is able to offer one free proposal per client that includes one adjustment as a one-time courtesy. Any adjustments or new proposals thereafter are $20 each.
